President Joe Biden expressed heart felt appreciation to the commanders, alongside the distinguished men an women serving under them for their prompt execution of the dangerous retrograde from Afghanistan as scheduled.
The mission which lasted for over 17 days , saw the American troops execute the biggest airlift in US history with over 120,000 US Citizens, Citizens of their allies, and Afghan allies of the Unite States Of America Evacuated.
President Biden concluded the speech with a moment of gratitude for the sacrifices of the 13 service members who lost their lives to save tens of thousands.
