Rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine’s video “Gooba” has been removed from Youtube following a claim from a Kenyan producer that he stole the beat from him.
When fans headed to Youtube to attempt to view the video, they are met with the message, “The video is no longer available due to a copyright claim by Magix Enga.”
Since its release last month, the video managed to rack up 270 million views on the streaming platform. According to Chart Data, the video broke the record for the biggest 24-hour debut for a Hip Hop video in YouTube history.
Tekashi has not denied the copyright claims, but after Enga sent him a message via Instagram, he simply responded, calling him “Dead Mad” before deleting the post.
For the video to have been pulled, there must have been some merit to Enga’s claims. If proven right, Enga could be entitled to some of the rapper’s millions he has been flaunting on the Gram.
The video which was taken down has since been re-uploaded on youtube platform.
