EFCC [Economic and Financial Crimes Commission] is Allegedly Investigating Political Aspirants as the purchase of N100M Party Nomination form Soars.
Abdulrasheed Bawa, the Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has said they are investigating the source of income used by the various aspirants to purchase party nomination forms prior to the forthcoming 2023 elections.
Bawa made this known on Friday during his Guest feature on Channels Television’s current affairs programme, Politics Today.
According to Bala, ” the issue of monitoring election funds as well as candidates’ funds, is originally the job of the INEC. But in this regard, the EFCC chose to work hand in gloves with INEC and other related agencies in that field to ensure they monitor the money, know the source, whether it is legitimate or illegitimate because that is what concerns them,”.
