Low Air Quality is a silent killer & Air pollution even more dangerous than previously assumed the World Health Organization has warned .
According to World health, an estimate of 7 million people die untimely each year from air pollution related diseases. WHO revealed that small- and average-income earning countries suffer the most, because of their dependence on fossil fuels for their economic development.
The health body also added that air pollution is twice as dangerous as smoking and habit of unhealthy eating. The WHO in its address to its 194 member states at the UN General Assembly in New York on September 22, urged members to cut down on emission related activities and take action on climate change, in view of the COP26 summit in November.
The address also hinted that the worst pollution are those that involve tiny particles which can unknowingly be inhaled into the lungs and hard to restrict.
