NANS To Embark on Strike Over Plans to Increase Fuel Price In 2022.

NANS [ the National Association of Nigerian Students has declared its intention to shut down nationwide academic activities over planned increment in fuel price.

Some Nigerian newspaper headline, have earlier hinted at reports centered at the removal of fuel subsidy in the country. The removal of the alleged subsidy which is set to happen in 2022, will skyrocket the price of fuel to N340 per litre.


Following the uneventful announcement, the Student Union body said , it will join hands with the Labour Congress (NLC) and other Civil Society Organisations [ CSO ] to work against the fuel hike plans via shouting down of academic activities nationwide.

 
Meanwhile, the President of student union body NANS – Sunday Asefon, in a statement, on Friday, November 26, told the Nigerian Government that its citizens are suffering, and still trying to wrap their hands around all evil social-economic proposal and thus cannot afford to be dealt another terrible blow in the face using increase in fuel price.
