Emirates airline has once again suspended its flight operations in Nigeria due to matters arising between the airline management and the FG of Nigeria.
According to updates, the Nigerian government was said to have withdrawn the 21 weekly flight of the airline to Nigeria [ i.e 14 to Muritala Muhammed Airport Lagos , and 7 to Nnamdi Azikiwe international airport Abuja ], thus restricting them to just one flight per week to either Lagos or Abuja.
The Nigerian government however took the decision following the United Arab Emirates (UAE) General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) refusal to grant the 3 frequencies [ weekly flights] requested by Nigerian owned carrier Air Peace, to operate in Dubai via Sharjah.
Flight operations will resume when all differences have been reconciled.
