Nipsey Hussle a two-time Grammys award winning artiste will be given due honor after death with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on August 15 bluebloodz.com has learned.
According to information from the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce on Wednesday (August 10) a ceremony celebrating the late Crenshaw icon is set to take place on what would have been his 37th birthday (15th August ).
The Walk of Fame ceremony is expected to begin at 10 a.m. PT as Nipsey Hussle joins NFL legend Michael Strahan, actor Michael B. Jordan, the Black Eyed Peas and others as part of the 2022 class.
Thus joining other rap acts including Snoop Dogg, Diddy, 50 Cent, Ice Cube and DJ Khaled on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Ludacris is also slated to receive a star in 2023.
Nipsey Hussle was regrettably shot and killed on March 31, 2019 in front of his Marathon Clothing store. Nip’s killer, Eric Holder, has since been convicted on first-degree murder charges by a grand jury in July, with legal experts believing he could be sentenced to life behind bars with parole.
Nipsey’s Legacy will not only be kept alive in California via the Hollywood star alone, L.A.’s Metro Rail announced that a brand new station will be named after the late rapper.
The station will serve the Hyde Park K Line which is located in Nipsey Hussle Square, which is one of 8 stops along the means of access ( channel ) that goes through some of the oldest neighborhoods in Los Angeles and Inglewood.
Los Angeles Councilman Marqueece Harris-Dawson in his statement said ;
“From Slauson and all the way to Vernon, you will see world-class pieces of art, celebrating the history and the legacy of African American people,. “Everybody who comes to L.A. and rides the train out of the airport is gonna see it. Is that alright?”
