Anna Kane the former spouse of NHL athlete Evander Kane has come forth as one of the initial accusers of sexual assault against Sean Combs.
Evander Kane and Anna Kane were photographed together at the 2019 ESPYS in Los Angeles on July 10, 2019. Kane and the Edmonton Oilers forward were wed from 2018 until 2021.
Anna Kane is the fifth individual to file a lawsuit claiming that the music tycoon sexually assaulted her at his NYC recording studio when she was an adolescent.
Kane initially lodged a lawsuit against Combs in December 2023 under the alias “Jane Doe.”
In her suit, Kane asserted she was a 17-year-old student in the 11th grade when Combs forcibly engaged with her at his Daddy’s House Recording Studio in Manhattan in 2003.
She also accused former Bad Boy Records president Harve Pierre and a third, unnamed man of gang-raping her in 2003.
Kane stated she met Pierre at a lounge in Detroit, Michigan, where he invited her to fly to New York City on a private plane to meet Combs. Pierre allegedly called Combs on the phone and handed it over to Kane to persuade the teenage girl to fly to New Jersey, according to the lawsuit.
Pierre reportedly told Combs Kane was “attractive.” He informed Kane he wanted her to meet his “best friend” and “brother” Combs.
Before leaving the lounge, it is claimed that Pierre took her into the restroom, where he smoked crack from an aluminum can and then compelled her to perform oral sex on him, as stated in the lawsuit.
Kane then accompanied the two men on a private jet to Teterboro Airport in New Jersey, according to the NY Post.
Kane alleged she was given drugs and alcohol upon her arrival at the studio, as reported by TMZ.
“While Mr. Combs was assaulting Ms. Doe, he complained that he could not ‘finish’ unless she pinched his nipples as hard as she could,” the lawsuit detailed. After Combs concluded, he purportedly observed as the other men took turns with Kane.
“She could barely stay upright following the gang rape, and had to be assisted to exit the building and get back into a vehicle,” the court documents reveal.
The lawsuit included images of Kane, her face obscured, perched on then-34-year-old Combs’ lap.
Another image captures Kane donning headphones in a recording studio. She kept these photographic records of that evening in her personal photo album.
Kane claims she has a vague recollection of flying back to Michigan.
Kane initially submitted her lawsuit anonymously. However, a judge in Manhattan ordered her to publicly disclose her identity or risk having the case dismissed.
“I had hoped to use a pseudonym while seeking justice for what transpired when I was a teenager,” Kane told Page Six in a statement via her attorney Douglas Wigdor.
“The defendants’ insistence that I reveal my name was an effort to intimidate me, but I refuse to be intimidated. I am ready to proceed and hold accountable those who have wronged me,” Anna Kane expressed.
Combs is facing a multitude of lawsuits filed by various individuals who allege they were drugged and sexually assaulted by the Bad Boy Records founder many years ago.
