Elisabeth Ovesen, previously recognized as Karrine “Superhead” Steffans, is opening up about the allegations against Sean Combs and Jay-Z.
Ovesen rose to prominence in 2005 after releasing her exposé, Confessions Of A Video Vixen.
Confessions Of A Video Vixen chronicled Elisabeth Ovesen’s affairs with rappers and athletes, prior to realizing her self-worth and achieving financial independence.
Her memoir illustrated her experiences as a 22-year-old whose notorious oral skills were desired by rappers, athletes, and record label executives.
She asserts that most of her interactions with rappers were consensual. However, the book serves as a cautionary narrative for young women, with her experiences underscoring misogyny and power disparities related to age and status. She indicated that many young women were utilized and cast aside by these artists.
Ovesen is currently penning a sequel to her 2005 sensation. Following the #MeToo movement – and most recently, the allegations against rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs, which he has vigorously refuted – she expresses a desire for people to understand there are others “escaping” similar conduct and offenses.
In a Zoom interview with Sky News, Ovesen reminisces about the evening she first encountered Combs, mentioning she was “somewhat summoned” to his residence. Despite this, she claims he treated her with kindness and respect.
“We were at a club; I was with acquaintances he recognized, and our cars departed simultaneously,” she recalls. Combs leaned out of a window to converse with the men in her vehicle, “discussing me as though I were property.”
She noted this occurred shortly after Combs’ split from Jennifer Lopez. “He was exceptionally charming and very gentle with me and remarkably respectful. The following morning we shared brunch at his home… again, [he was] affable and warm.” She insists that during other gatherings with Combs, he maintained the same demeanor.
Ovesen refutes having witnessed any unlawful behavior. She confirms this because she maintained journals of her experiences.
“My interactions with him diverge greatly from those of many others… I have observed him exhibit anger. I have witnessed events that did not involve me.”
Ovesen remarked that the conduct Combs later displayed towards other women was “acquired” behavior from years in the industry.
“I want to emphasize that the charges against Sean are not uncommon. He’s not an outlier… this behavior is learned and sustained,” she stated.
At 46, Elisabeth Ovesen detailed her encounter with Jay-Z in chapter 11 of her debut book.
She portrayed him as “considerate” and “a true gentleman.” “I felt at ease around him and believed it was acceptable for me to accept his invitation to accompany him for a ride,” she recounted.
“We conversed for a while until his driver parked on the beach and exited the vehicle. After a brief pause, Jay unveiled his genitalia, donned a condom, and positioned his hand on the back of my head. I was behaving well, expressing gratitude and demonstrating my worthiness of the kindness he had shown. I was acting according to what I had been taught.”
Ovesen continued: “We proceeded in the car for a while and returned to the set, as if nothing had transpired, and occasionally, we exchanged a glance and a slight smile.
