A 28-year-old individual from Chiang Rai was discovered deceased in a hotel room in Khon Kaen early Thursday morning, with law enforcement officials suspecting he succumbed to a cobra bite after engaging with the serpent.
Authorities received a notification at 12:20 am about a fatality at a lodging facility. Officers located the man sprawled lifeless on a bed in a ground-level room.
An examination of the body revealed puncture marks akin to those of a poisonous snake on the victim’s right upper arm. Near the room’s entrance, officers uncovered a white cloth sack containing a live cobra with its mouth secured. There were no indications of a struggle.
