The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has revealed a three-day maintenance initiative, alerting residents of Lagos and surrounding areas in Ogun State to brace for temporary power interruptions.
Scheduled from November 26 to 29, 2025, this initiative will focus on the installation of wave traps on the 330 kV line bays at Aja and Alagbon Transmission Substations. TCN has confirmed that the work will be conducted between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. each day.
Representative Ndidi Mbah indicated that the maintenance will impact regions supplied by the Eko Electricity Distribution Company, including Lagos Island, Apapa, Mushin, Lekki, along with parts of Ogun State such as Ojo and Agbara.
“We encourage residents and businesses to expect minor fluctuations in power during the rerouting of supply lines. Our objective is to enhance the overall dependability of the transmission network,” Mbah stated.
The organization detailed that power from Alagbon Substation will temporarily be redirected to the Ijora 132 kV line, whereas supplies to Akoka and Oworo Transmission Substations will be channeled through the Ikeja West 132 kV line.
