There’s a major update in the case of Celeste Rivas! Reported information stated the missing teenager was found dead, dismembered, and wrapped in a plastic bag in the trunk of an abandoned Tesla owned by D4vd, born David Anthony Burke, at an impound lot in Hollywood back in September.
Celeste Rivas was last seen on April 5, 2024, at the age of 13, and D4Vd the 20-year-old singer, who was not named as a person of interest, was in a relationship with the teen. Yes, really. A minor.
When homicide detectives raided his Los Angeles home, they seized a number of items. Private investigator Stephen Fischer later claimed some of what they found was “sadistic” in nature — like “things you could use to get rid of a person if you wanted to.” OMG. The Private Investigator didn’t get into what those items were, but stressed it is “not a crime just ordering these things.” It was just things that “don’t belong in any type of environment like that.” Hmm.
While the Los Angeles Police Department didn’t seize them, they did reportedly take pictures of them for evidence. Now, there has been a major new development in the case. Law enforcement sources with direct knowledge told TMZ on Tuesday that “investigators are looking at D4vd as a suspect.” Whoa. The insiders also say Celeste’s death is now being viewed as a homicide, even though the medical examiner has not determined the cause or manner of death yet.

Investigators are still waiting for the toxicology results, too.Wondering why the police are naming D4vd as a suspect now?
TMZ’s insiders claimed that law enforcement discovered the performer took a trip in the middle of the night to a remote area of Santa Barbara County and stayed there for several hours around the spring of 2025. Their sources did say exactly why the trip is a red flag for the LAPD. However, police told NBC4 Investigates that Celeste’s death likely occurred in the spring — and the “Here with Me artist ” possibly had help in dismembering and disposing of the body. It is unclear if cops have any other suspects besides D4vd.
Although D4vd is being viewed as a suspect, the LAPD told TMZ on Monday that they are not close to an arrest at this time. He also has not addressed the reports. However, it is not looking good for him.
