Ademola Adeleke Debunks Rumors of Decamping To APC

Ademola Adeleke, the Governor of Osun State, has addressed the speculation surrounding his potential switch to the All Progressives Congress.

In his remarks, Adeleke clarified that he has no intention, either at present or in the foreseeable future, to abandon the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Adeleke, serving as the Deputy Chairman of the PDP’s National Convention Organising Committee, expressed confidence that the party will emerge from its current challenges more robust than before.Following the first meeting of the Accommodation Sub-Committee for the convention, the governor assured that all issues would be resolved to ensure a seamless convention.

“There are rumors suggesting that I may be considering joining the APC due to friendships with some of their members or my attendance at their events. I am a person of good manners. Just because I have friends in the APC and attend a wedding or social gathering does not imply I am aligning with them.“At this moment, I am the Deputy Chairman of our convention, scheduled for October 15th and 16th, and I stand firmly with the PDP as a loyal member. I also lead the Accommodation Committee.”

The PDP does not engage in propaganda or endless discussions. Many individuals from other parties are switching allegiances, which is all part of politics. No one can predict what the future holds, but everyone is entitled to make their own choices.”Our emphasis is on unity, structure, and achievement. With God’s favor, our convention will be immensely successful, and the PDP will continue to thrive. Thank you, and may God bless you all,” he concluded.
