Rapper Emeka Akumefule, known as Blaqbonez, has addressed allegations of harassing a woman after she spurned his romantic overtures.
In a reaction shared on his Instagram story, the rapper categorically refuted the accusations. It is important to note that the woman’s legal representatives, Bristol & Mortglass C.S., claimed in a statement released on Sunday that their client faced emotional turmoil and ongoing online harassment after turning down the artist’s advances in December 2024.
In response, the rapper stated:
“Recently, numerous false and highly distressing accusations have been spread about me online. These assertions are not only false but also part of an ongoing pattern of harassment and intimidation that I have been subjected to for months by certain individuals in the music industry.“For almost a year, I have remained silent, enduring persistent bullying, physical aggression, and digital assaults, believing that the truth would ultimately prevail. However, there comes a time when remaining silent allows misinformation to propagate freely.
Hence, I am speaking up now:
I have committed no wrongdoing.“At the core of these narratives is a personal relationship from my past, one that concluded amicably and without discord. That private matter has now been entangled with professional rivalries in the music industry.“What started as a personal issue between two adults has been drawn into a larger dispute, twisted, and utilized as leverage in a campaign aimed at tarnishing my public image. The allegations being circulated are intentional fabrications meant to undermine my reputation, my work, and all that I have worked hard to achieve.
These claims have inflicted distress upon my family, my team, and my supporters. It is disheartening to witness individuals exploit falsehoods for fame and vengeance.“I am fully cooperating with law enforcement to guarantee that the truth is uncovered once and for all. I have nothing to conceal, and I embrace transparency. I am also taking measures via my legal representation to safeguard myself against the harassment and defamation I have suffered over the past year,” he remarked.
“I have labored diligently to embody honesty and self-belief in my artistry. That will not alter. The truth will emerge, and when it does, I hope this incident serves to remind everyone that false accusations can ruin genuine lives, and that bullying, be it physical, digital, or emotional, should never be acceptable.“I will not let personal vendettas or online animosity shape my identity or divert me from my goals. The truth does not fear exposure, and that is where I stand. My gratitude extends to all who have offered support. My attention remains devoted to my music, my peace, and restoring my reputation.”
