BMW set to Charge Car Buyers and Owners Monthly Subscription fee for Car Feature Usage.

BMW car buyers and users have expressed anxiety over the luxury car maker’s plans to charge a monthly subscription for the use of car features such as heated seats and cruise control.

According to reports, the above mentioned features are standard in Mercedes Benz and other luxury cars, is turning into a money spinning venture for BMW as they are on their way to generate more revenue.

Meanwhile, the BMW has already began offering heated seats as a monthly subscription in the UK, Germany , and South Korea markets since 2020. And they revealed the subscription-based services is currently available in the U.S. include Drive Recorder and a remote start feature, as well as high beam switching and cruise control.

Twitter users as at yesterday reacted to outrage to BMW’s subscription plan;



BMW buyers will have to pay a monthly fee of $18 to unlock heated seats in their new cars.

One car buyer calls the subscription plan “microtransaction hell.”
