The Black community is very skeptical about the new COVID-19 vaccine, so Tyler Perry amongst others who have taken the bold step was inoculated on camera to encourage others to take the shot.
“I’m not taking this vaccine because I want you to take it, I want to give you the information so you make your own choices,” he said on CBS This morning.
“I think that’s what it’s about, education and information.” Perry recognizes and this may “[raise] flags for us as African American people.”

He continued: “I think that it’s just important that people know that, if you take your chances with Covid you never know how it’s going to affect you and it could affect your long-term health.”
While the vaccine may be available, many in the Black community are reportedly skeptical about it’s long term safety and are waiting before proceeding.
To make matters worse, there have been reports that the vaccine allegedly caused extreme allergic reactions in some patients and in rare cases Bell’s Palsy.
