The Edo state Government has through its incumbent Governor Godwin Obaseki reveal it will no longer collect cash from March 1st 2023.
According to reports reaching Bluebloodz.com, the implementation takes Effect from March 1st 2023.
The cashless policy is set to be implemented across all government offices in the State Governor Obaseki announced on Thursday, to top officials.
“I have issued a circular that effective March 1st, government offices will be prohibited from using cash. The government is pushing toward a cashless economy. So, why must the service dodge transparency?” the Governor said.
