Empire Star Bryshere Gray, who played the role of Hakeem Lyon in Fox’s Empire series, has reportedly entered a guilty plea in his domestic violence case.
As part of his plea agreement, based on the recent report, Bryshere will be required to spend a short period in jail.
International reports claimed that Gray pleaded guilty to felony aggravated assault, and has been sentenced to spend 10 days in county jail, in addition to being required to be actively involved in a probation program for three years.
He is said to have been ordered to pay restitution and enrol in a domestic violence offender treatment program.
In July 2020, it was reported that Gray had been arrested in Goodyear, Arizona, in connection with a domestic violence incident, and the victim, later turned Out to have been Gray’s wife.
She was said to have flagged down a citizen for help after she claimed she had been assaulted at home for “hours” by Gray.
The citizen called 911 , alerted the Police who responded.At first, Gray refused to exit his home when officers arrived.
Following Bryshere’s refusal, SWAT and Crisis Negotiations officials were then sent to his home . Afterwards he surrendered to authorities early the following morning, and was then taken into custody and booked on domestic violence charges.
