The House of Representatives voted on whether to release the Epstein Files, and they approved it by a 427-1 vote on Tuesday. The only person who voted against it was Republican Rep. Clay Higgins from Louisiana.
He explained his reason in a post on X (Twitter) right after the vote. You can check it out below.
Now the bill goes to the Senate. If the Senate also approves it, it will go to President Donald Trump. On Monday, he said he would sign the bill. That’s a big shift from just days ago when he said Republicans would be “soft and foolish” for releasing the documents. He also pressured some congresswomen to change their votes as more shocking reports came out about his connection to Jeffrey Epstein.
Guess what! The Senate passed the bill unanimously. Now everything depends on Trump.
