The European Union is looking into X after the chatbot Grok got into trouble again. At a press conference, Commission spokesperson Tomas Regnier said, “It’s disgusting.”
After an update to Grok Imagine, the chatbot got better at making images based on what users asked for, but then, Grok started creating pictures with sexual content that included both children and women, according to CNBC and other reports.
At a press conference, Tomas Regnier said the Commission is “seriously reviewing” the situation. He added,
We know that Grok and X now have a ‘spicy mode’ that shows explicit sexual content, some of which looks like children. This isn’t ‘spicy’—this is illegal. It’s disgusting, it’s disgusting.”

This weekend, X said they are taking the new claims seriously. The statement said,
“We take action against illegal content on X, including material showing child sexual abuse, by removing it, permanently suspending accounts, and working with local authorities and law enforcement when needed.
“Grok was created by XAI, which is part of Elon Musk’s company. It has been in the news before for making controversial comments about the Holocaust.
