The Edo state governor, Monday Okpebholo, reported that just a day after his victory in the September 21 gubernatorial election, he discovered a lifeless bat resting on his bed.
He recounted witnessing the deceased bat while he was waiting for the election results to be announced.
Gov Okpebholo shared this during a celebratory concert held in his honor, marking his inauguration as the sixth civil governor of the state.
I want to express my gratitude to the Almighty. In the recent election (on September 21, 2024 in Edo State), while I was giving thanks, those opposed to democracy were working behind the scenes at Arise. The slanderers were occupied on Facebook. They were engaged with Channels. Yet, I directed my fight to God, for I understood the truth. A few days prior to the election (governorship, in Edo State), they labeled this individual (Okpebholo) as insane.
We came together to worship God in this (Edo) state. They questioned my actions. They were present at Arise, but I was attuned to the voice of God. I triumphed in the struggle. After the (governorship) election (in Edo State), on the morning of Sunday, September 22, 2024, I entered my room. I discovered a bat that passed away on my bed, without me launching any attack, but the Spirit of God was present. The arrow of the Lord resolved it. The hand of God rescued me.
I am also thankful to the men of God who interceded for me. I appreciate those who believed that with God, anything is achievable. I’ll share a piece of wisdom: place your faith solely in God, for He will make it happen for you.
