Rema, the renowned Nigerian artist, has disclosed that he’s not inclined to have children outside of marriage.
He also mentioned his disdain for promiscuity, emphasizing that he’s a purposeful individual.
Rema has made history as the first Black African artist to grace the cover of Rolling Stone magazine.
“I feel there’s a necessity for us [family] to expand and evolve into a complete empire if possible. Also, I don’t want to wait for it to become a blunder before I choose to become a father. I’m quite particular, and I don’t engage in casual flings,” he remarked.
Rema further discussed his connections with Ayra Starr and South African Tyla.
Ayra’s family, definitely. Tyla’s family. We’re close friends because I’ve known Tyla long before all this,” he stated.
In the meantime, American singer and actress Selena Gomez has conveyed her admiration for Rema.
In a conversation with Rolling Stone, Gomez expressed that she’s “thoroughly impressed” with Rema as a musician.
“I am thoroughly impressed with Rema as a musician. I believe his future is truly limitless in terms of what he can accomplish. I was a fan of the track [‘Calm Down’] even prior to participating in the remix. What really resonates with me is how the song kept evolving even a year after its initial release,” she shared.
