I no Longer Take Projects That Disrespect My Time or Value – Mummy Wa

Kemi Ikuseedun, a Nigerian content creator and Nollywood actress who is well-known as Mummy Wa, has shared that she will not be taking on any projects that don’t respect her time or go against her values.

In an interview with Punch, she explained that protecting her peace and personal beliefs has become her main focus this year.

She said,

I’m not doing any projects that don’t respect my time, or treat me or my work with less value. I’m not okay with anything that makes my work feel like it’s just about making content.” “The phrase ‘just content’ doesn’t sit well with me anymore. I’m focusing on growing in different ways.”She also mentioned, “My peace is very important to me, so I’m not going to work on anything that doesn’t honor my time or my values.”

While talking about her journey beyond the Mummy Wa character, she said that even though the character still has a lot of potential, she’s also making space for her own identity and creative abilities to grow.

She explained, “There’s still a lot more to Mummy Wa. This year, I want to learn more and see more.”She continued, “I’m letting Mummy Wa grow older and experience life. At the same time, I’m giving Kemi Ikuseedun a chance to shine, grow, and show different sides of herself in movies and stories.”
