According to a statement released on Friday, as reported by TVC News on the agency’s official website, the French Authority (Rappel Conso of France) announced a recall of the Indomie brand Noodles Vegetable Flavour product.

The statement says, “Public Alert No. 041/2025. Recall of Indomie brand noodles (Vegetable Flavour Product) due to the presence of undeclared allergens (milk and eggs).”

The details of the recalled product are as follows:

  • Product Brand – Indomie Batch – All lots
  • BB Date – 06/02/2026

The statement also mentioned, “Indomie noodles have become a household staple in many countries. Their popularity is due to convenience, versatility, affordability, and the comfort they bring to family meals.” NAFDAC noted that the risk of these products entering Nigeria is low because of the Federal Government’s existing ban on importing noodles.

However, the agency stressed the importance of being careful to stop any illegal entry or sales of the Indomie brand.NAFDAC has started taking steps to prevent the brand from entering the country. It said that buying the product online or bringing it during international travel is still a possibility.

The agency asked all NAFDAC zonal directors and state coordinators to keep an eye out for the product and remove it if found in their areas. The agency also urged distributors, retailers, and consumers to be careful and watch for the product in the supply chain. They were asked to avoid selling, distributing, or eating the recalled Indomie noodles.

NAFDAC told consumers to throw away the product and not eat it. They also asked people to report if they see the product being sold to the nearest NAFDAC office or by calling 0800-162-3322. The agency also encouraged people to report any problems or side effects after eating the product or using devices to the nearest NAFDAC office or through the online reporting tools on the NAFDAC website.
