Monday Okpebholo of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has been announced as the winner of the Edo state governorship election which took place on Saturday, September 21.
INEC’s Returning Official for the survey, Prof Faruk Kuta, who reported the outcomes, said Okpebholo surveyed 291,667 votes to overcome Asue Ighodalo of the People groups Leftist faction (PDP) who got 247,274 votes and Olumide Akpata of the Labour Party (LP) who came a far off third in the race with 22,763 votes.
