In one of his several declarations, Donald Trump has warned Iran of “total destruction” if he were to be eliminated. “Should they take such an action, they would face annihilation. I’ve issued orders that if they do, they will be obliterated; nothing will remain,” he stated during a press briefing.
At that moment, the vice presidency would transition to J.D. Vance, although he would not be compelled to heed the commands. In fact, the Department of Justice recently reported in November that it had disrupted an assassination plot targeting Trump.
The disparities between the two nations are evident. The Iranian administration, under Ali Khamenei’s leadership, is believed to have dismissed the latest nuclear agreement Trump proposed. “I’ve sent them a correspondence expressing my hope for negotiations, because if we must intervene militarily, it will lead to dire consequences for them. There are two avenues to engage with Iran: through military force or by reaching a consensus,” stated the US president.
“The persistent desire of certain oppressive regimes to enter negotiations is not about resolving issues but rather about enforcing their authority and conditions. The Islamic Republic of Iran will unequivocally reject their demands (from Trump),” declared the Iranian leader.
“We cannot adhere to the tenets of Western civilization in our political or economic dealings,” he asserted. Regardless, Trump maintains optimism about securing a deal, as he recently expressed.
“There are two approaches to this situation: either through military action or by negotiating a settlement, and I would favor the latter. I wish no harm to the Iranian populace. I know numerous Iranians in this nation. They are wonderful people, yet they endure a very oppressive regime. Not everyone sees it the same way, but I believe we can finalize an agreement that is as effective as a military victory,” he remarked.
