In Kano State, Islamic factions have taken to the streets to stage an anti-Trump protest in demonstration against U.S. President Donald Trump’s recent assertions regarding Nigeria’s security issues.
On Saturday, the demonstrators gathered to oppose Trump’s allegations of a Christian genocide occurring in Nigeria. They were observed wielding signs bearing various messages such as ‘We denounce Trump’s threat to strike Nigeria’, ‘No Christian genocide exists in Nigeria’, ‘America seeks to exploit our resources’, among others.

It’s worth noting that Trump recently labeled Nigeria a ‘Country of Particular Concern’ due to the purported persecution of Christians in the nation.

The U.S. President later warned that if the Nigerian authorities do not take action against the killings of Christians, military intervention by the U.S. would follow. The Nigerian government has since refuted the alleged Christian genocide, calling it untrue.
