ISWAP – Islamic State in West Africa Province is rumored to have secretly embarked on a massive mission of recruiting new members.
According to Onyema Nwachukwu Spokesperson of the Nigerian Army, the army had raised an alarm of the recruitment mission to alert the general public on the need to be vigilant at all times.
He also added that the recruitment was as a result of drastic surrendering of their members and unresolved conflicts existing therein.
In time past, it has been reported that the insurgents from the various terrorist factions have been surrendering, and people have questioned the genuineness , reintegration of the repented insurgents into the society, and the plight of the victims of the insurgencies.
Nwachukwu made the disclosure during a tour of the Hadin Kai theatre command in Maiduguri, Borno state on Sunday September 19.
Nwachukwu called on the media to join hands with force men in blocking the recruitment. whilst citing that the insurgents have almost taking over capitals of Adamawa, Borno and Yobe, and are forcefully advancing towards the federal capital territory (FCT).
