Prominent Nigerian spiritual leader, Apostle Johnson Suleman, has warned his followers about the dangers of devoting their entire existence to financially aiding relatives at the cost of their own welfare.
In a recent sermon at Omega Fire Ministries International, the vocal pastor highlighted the necessity of maintaining equilibrium when helping family members. He urged his congregation to strategize their lives thoughtfully and refrain from making financial promises that exceed their means, emphasizing that disregarding personal well-being could result in future remorse.
In his own words:
“Strategize your life while supporting others. Count your days. Do not exhaust all your resources on family. Don’t spend your entire life supporting your siblings. You have a life to lead—this is a tough reality. Organize your life; refrain from pouring all your funds into school fees. Seek an affordable educational institution.”
His remarks have ignited conversations on social media, with many agreeing that while aiding family is essential, individual financial health should take precedence.
