JAMB – Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, has reportedly disclosed date for its policy meeting to determine the 2022/2023 Admission Benchmark.
The admission and Matriculation board spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, made it known in a text message on Wednesday, that the policy meeting will be held on July 21 and chaired by the Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu, with all heads of tertiary institutions in compulsory attendance.
According to more information given, the meeting will chronicle the policy directions for all tertiary institutions in the nation, set admission guidelines and performance, and also judge the value and condition of admission exercises.
Fabian, after confirming the July 21 meeting and possible topics for discussion, said, “Yes, issue of admissions and benchmarks will be discussed.”
From Statistics, no fewer than 1,761,338 candidates registered for the 2022 UTME and Direct Entry (DE) Examination , with only 1,671,203 results released out of the 1,707,626 candidates who sat for the examinations.
