The world’s richest people are business leaders in the tech industry who have made huge gains from their companies. One billionaire recently passed Jeff Bezos, the founder of Amazon, on the list of the ultra-wealthy because of a new breakthrough in artificial intelligence.
Larry Page, one of the co-founders of Google, saw his wealth increase by $6 billion on Wednesday. His total net worth is now $252 billion after the release of his company’s newest AI model called Gemini 3. This new AI is considered better than the previous version, Gemini 2.5, which came out about eight months ago.
The news made investors and experts excited, and the stock price of Alphabet, the parent company of Google, went up by 3%. Because of this success, Larry Page’s position on the Bloomberg Billionaires Index moved up to third place. Jeff Bezos, on the other hand, dropped to fourth place because his wealth has been decreasing due to recent problems at Amazon, and Larry Page’s wealth has been rising at the same time.
Another co-founder of Google, Sergey Brin, who also owns 6% of Alphabet, gained $5 billion and is now fifth on the list.In the days that followed the big stock increase, their wealth levels have settled down. Larry Page’s net worth is now $249 billion, Jeff Bezos has $240 billion, and Sergey Brin has $233 billion.
