Lucky Igbinedion a former Governor has been summoned by the EFCC for questioning on issues bothering on fraud and fund diversion allegations.
The former Edo state Governor responded to the call of the EFCC, and with immediate effect arrived at their anti-graft headquarters in Abuja yesterday November 11 at noon. He remained in their custody till midnight.
According to reports, Chief Lucky Igbinedion in 2008 was fined the sum of N3.5 million in a N25 billion financial fraud case by a federal High Court in Enugu state after pleading guilty to all allegations levelled on him. He agreed to pay the N3.5 million fine as a quick fix alternative to spending 6 months in jail.
