Actors Meagan Good and Jonathan Majors revealed their engagement during the EBONY magazine’s Power 100 Gala held at Nya Studios in West Hollywood on Sunday, November 17.
They informed E! News that they decided to unveil their news at the EBONY gala since it’s the venue where their paths first crossed two years ago.
“The EBONY Power 100 is where we initially met, right in the unisex restroom,” she remarked.
The couple’s unexpected engagement came just a week after rumors circulated online about their single statuses. According to a prominent blogger, Meagan and Jonathan had parted ways – presumably after their ‘contract’ concluded.
Speculation had arisen that Meagan and Jonathan’s romance was orchestrated by Marvel Studios to enhance his public perception among Black women.
Jonathan, 35, had historically only dated White women before becoming involved with Meagan, 43. His career suffered a severe blow after he assaulted his ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari in New York in March 2023.
It was said that the altercation erupted in a rideshare after Grace discovered Jonathan texting Meagan.
A jury found him guilty of assault and harassment, leading to a sentence of a 52-week mandatory in-person domestic violence prevention program.
A spokesperson for Meagan dismissed allegations that she had left the actor after dating for just over a year.
“They are not separated. In fact, they will be attending the EBONY 100 Gala together,” the representative told TMZ.
What a twist of fate that they chose to announce their engagement at that very same EBONY gala.
Jonathan reportedly has a history of violence against women that traces back to his college years.
Once an abuser, always an abuser. They are like leopards – their spots do not change. Abusers employ violence to dominate women.
Black women remain cautious about Meagan and Jonathan as a couple.
Bluebloodz.com as per words on the streets, heard some fascinating insights about Meg’s ring, which reportedly set her back $100,000.
As per individuals close to Meagan Good, the ring features a 2-carat yellow emerald-cut diamond. Yellow happens to be MEGAN’S PREFERRED HUE.
One friend shared, “It’s a high-quality stone, certified by GIA. It boasts a diamond band and setting, radiating elegance.”
The friend further elaborated that – although Jonathan popped the question – it was Megan who purchased the ring. “Meg covered the cost. She’s in a stronger financial situation than Jonathan at the moment, so it was a logical choice.”
