Nigerian artist Tems learned the hard truth that music enthusiasts elevate artists just to bring them down when they reach their peak. The 29-year-old Grammy-winning musician reacted to cruel remarks about her physique circulating on social media.
The stunning vocalist is recognized for her African-inspired fashion and hairstyles, frequently emulated by hair professionals in America.
Tems’ appeal has not dwindled, yet online trolls are criticizing her body. One individual commented, “Real ones know she just has big thighs, not really a big butt.”

In a response on Instagram, Tems fired back: “Alright, 7 years in, it’s time to let it go. I never imagined I’d have to say this, but you all are strange,” she expressed. “It’s small, it’s flat, it’s plump. Dog, IT’S MINE.”
She went on: “It’s merely a body. I’ll gain and lose weight. I’ve never concealed my body; I just didn’t see the need to validate or invalidate anyone.”
She wrapped up with: “The more you dislike my body, the better it is for me, honestly. But this has to stop now. Move beyond my behind.”
