Muslim TikTokers have been charged and remanded in prison by The Kano State Magistrate Court for defaming the character of the above named governor with a skit portraying him as corrupt.
The Two Skitmakers whose names are Mubarak Muhammed and Nazifi Muhammed, who are well known, created a controversial video about the state governor, Abdullahi Ganduje.
In the TikTok video that led to their arrest, Mubarak Muhammed known as Uniquepikin and his colleague Nazif, portrayed Ganduje as a corrupt official who has sold most of the state’s lands.
The duo pleaded guilty after the charges of conspiracy and defamation of the state helmsman were read.
The presiding Magistrate, Aminu Gambari subsequently ordered the remand of the two Tikokers in prison custody.
He adjourned the case to November 7, 2022.
