Once a highly discussed figure in hip-hop circles, Tekashi 6ix9ine reveals that despite his prominence, he was never extended an invite to any of Sean “Diddy” Combs’ legendary “freak-offs,” and he even addressed this directly with him.
In a recent conversation with DJ Vlad, the rapper disclosed that he was incarcerated alongside Sean “Diddy” Combs, FTX creator Sam Bankman-Fried, and former Honduran president Juan Orlando Hernández. A 2024 NPR article highlighted that Combs, Hernández, and Bankman-Fried were part of a notable group of detainees at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center, which has also housed Martin Shkreli, Ghislaine Maxwell, and Fetty Wap.
Reflecting on their initial encounter, 6ix9ine mentioned that Combs welcomed him with a chuckle.
“The first thing he said to me, he laughed, he’s like, ‘Yo, that’s wild how we met, right?’” the rapper recalled, adding that they exchanged a hug.
6ix9ine playfully used the opportunity to voice a long-standing curiosity.
“That’s when I said, ‘Yo, why didn’t you ever invite me to any of your gatherings?’” he shared with Vlad. When questioned if he was referring to Combs’ notable “freak-offs,” the rapper affirmed, “Yeah, I’m like, ‘Yo, why didn’t you invite me?’”
