The Federal Government has unveiled the official theme for Nigeria’s 2025 Independence Day festivities – Nigeria @ 65 : All Hands on Deck for a Greater Nation,”.
This information was released in a statement by the Director of Information and Public Relations in the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Segun Imohiosen, on Wednesday in Abuja.
He mentioned that the theme, “ Nigeria @ 65 : All Hands on Deck for a Greater Nation,” emphasizes the need for unity, collaboration, and patriotism amongst government bodies, the private sector, civil society, and the populace to promote national harmony, prosperity, and advancement.
The government indicated that the selection of the theme embodies Nigeria’s fortitude since gaining independence in 1960, highlighting the significance of building upon past successes while striving for elevated objectives under the Renewed Hope Agenda.
Government entities and collaborators are expected to align their initiatives with the anniversary theme to ensure its message resonates throughout all aspects of national life.
Among the events planned for the 65th Independence festivities, a Juma’at prayer will take place on Friday, September 26, followed by an inter-denominational church service on Sunday, September 28.
Additionally, there will be a World Press Conference on Monday, September 29, in Abuja, the nation’s capital.
