Nigerian Government stresses on the need to Regulate Birth Rate.

The Nigerian government has through its Minister of Health Osagie Ehanire buttress the need to control the rate at which people give birth.

According to the reported statement of Osagie Ehanire, at the celebration of the World Population Day, organized by the National Population Commission (NPC) in Abuja on Thursday July 2,there is great need to regulate birth rate in the country to achieve sustainable development.

who dutifully represented Dr. Osagie Ehanire, , added that it would be difficult for Nigeria to achieve its Sustainable Development Goals with the current 5.3 fertility’s average present in the country.

We must regulate fertility, without fertility regulation, we’re going nowhere. This is actually the key to unlock the success of sustainable development in Nigeria and the Ministry of Health has positioned itself to fulfill this purpose.”
