The film sector Nollywood is engulfed in sorrow following the passing of actress Nkechi Nweje.
Confirmation of Nkechi Nweje’s passing was provided by her fellow actor and producer Stanley Ontop, who revealed details surrounding the unexpected loss.
Notable figures such as Destiny Etiko, Chizzy Alichi, among others, have expressed their grief on social media for the late Mrs Nweje.
Stanley mentioned that he had known about Nweje’s passing for several hours but hesitated to share it as it felt surreal to him.
The film producer, who referred to the late actress as his closest friend, stated she passed away after facing a short illness.
