Obot Etuk Veteran Nollywood actress, has cautioned people against downplaying their parent’s efforts whenever they have the privilege to give a victory speech.
In a post shared on her IG page, Ms. Etuk stressed that people should never seize the opportunity to embarrass the effort of their parents by saying they came from nothing. In her words
In your victory speech ladies and gentlemen, never embarrass the effort of your parents by saying you came from nothing. Whatever you had then was what they could afford. And they gave it to you with love.
Make them feel better by praising them.
