Cardi B shares that her estranged spouse Offset’s infidelity literally pushed her to the brink of insanity. Just last week, the single mother went public on Instagram with her new partner, New England Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs.
In a recent live video discussion, Cardi revealed the harrowing ramifications of her troubled marriage to rapper Offset – and expressed relief at being free from him.
Cardi, 32, and Offset, 33, first crossed paths in early 2017 and were secretly wed later that same year. Offset reportedly began his cheating ways before Cardi became pregnant with their first child in 2018.
She initiated divorce proceedings in 2024. During her livestream this week, the “Bodak Yellow” star confessed she might have “ended up killing” Offset had they stayed together for just one more day.
“I don’t think people realize how exhausted I was. How fatigued, how mentally drained I felt,” she shared with her followers, as reported by PEOPLE. “Drained, drained, drained. Couldn’t eat. I was suffering from constant headaches. I was truly losing my sanity.”
Cardi admitted she took Offset back after each instance of betrayal because she wanted her kids to have a connection with their father.
Offset’s infidelity almost put Cardi B behind bars. She was taken into custody in October 2018 and faced charges for assaulting two female bartenders at a strip club in Queens, NY. One of the bartenders supposedly had an affair with Offset.
“I was on the verge of going to jail, ’cause I was going to end up killing them. Seriously, with my own hands. ‘Cause it was just becoming so … it was just too overwhelming,” Cardi B clarified.
