Pastor Joel Osteen ‘s Lakewood church congregants witnessed an interruption by abortion right activist while church service was ongoing.
According to reports, one of the activist took off her clothes inside the church while shouting “my body, my fucking choice!” And another screamed “Overturn Roe, hell no,” .
A total of 3 women took part in the protest by stripping down to their underwear on Sunday in the church and shouting, according to Chron. The women were later escorted out of the church, allowing Pastor Joel to continue preaching, amidst cheers and applause from churchgoers.
The activists continued their abortion right protest outdoors and were joined by other supporters, according to the outlet. The 3 main activists are part of Rise Up 4 Abortion Rights group that condemned the possibility of the Supreme Court overturning Roe. v. Wade following a leaked draft decision early last month.
