Peter okoye has been dragged to court by the ECOWAS youth Council and the West Africa Youth support development Forum over an alleged N2.8m fraud.
According to the council and forum members, Mr P collected a part payment of N2.8million (70% down payment ) to perform at the official inauguration of the West Africa Champions League in Asaba Delta state, but he failed to show up for the event that was held on the 16th of June 2019.
The organisers however lamented that the singer crippled the event and killed the spirit of investors by not keeping to his own end of the bargain , as lots of attendees were eager to see him perform live on stage.
The council and forum have since sued the singer at a high court in Anambra State for N500,000,000,00 in damages an amount he has not paid, and has refused to reach out to them hence their appearance in Court yesterday 23rd Feb 2022.
The court case has been shifted to April 13 , 2022.
