President Muhammadu Buhari is reportedly set to hold emergency meeting with all active service chiefs and heads of security agencies today Thursday 28 July bluebloodz.com has learned.
The summon for an emergency meeting is coming not up to 48 hours after the news of the Presidential Brigade Guards gun duel with suspected terrorist at the Nigerian Law rocked the media.
Femi Adesina Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, to president Buhari confirmed the scheduled meeting on Wednesday during an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today.
He said ;
“Tomorrow the President has summoned another security meeting with the heads of the security agencies,”
It was earlier reported that senators from opposition parties gave president Buhari a 6-week ultimatum to tackle the security challenges plaguing the country.
Also minority leader, Senator Philip Aduda, alongside other lawmakers at a press briefing yesterday demanded that Buhari resolves terrorist attacks in the country or face possible impeachment.
