The Presidential Guards Brigade has on Monday prevented alleged terrorist from executing their planned attack on the Nigerian Law School.
According to reports, the guards Brigade was involved in a gun duel with the said terrorists on Monday in Abuja, with three of it’s highly-trained officers suffering serious injuries during the ambushed by the insurgents.
Previous reportage reveals there has been fears the gunmen planned to attack the Nigerian Law School. The signal seen by Nigerian Tribune confirmed that the troops were on a routine patrol along Kubwa–Bwari.
Three soldiers were injured during the attack. The soldiers have been evacuated for medical attention.
“Details on the extent of their injuries are still under confirmation.
“The ambush happening within the general area of Bwari shows that the terrorists are actually within the location and possibly preparing to carry out their plans to attack the law school in Bwari as earlier reported”, it reads.
The Presidential Guards Brigade, is an elite arm of the Nigerian Army, that is solely responsible for protecting the President of Nigeria.
The aborted attack happened a day after the said terrorists threatened to abduct President Muhammadu Buhari and Kaduna Governor, Nasir El-Rufai.
