British pop artist Jessie J has shared the heartbreaking news that she has received a diagnosis of breast cancer.
“I wish to convey this to my supporters and those who are concerned for me, as I’m someone who opens up. I’ve consistently revealed everything that I experience in my life. Before the release of ‘No Secrets’, I was diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer,” she expressed on Instagram.
“I’m emphasizing the term early. Cancer is dreadful in any variant, but I’m clinging to the term early,” she added. “I have been undergoing various tests throughout this entire period.”
Jessie J mentions that she hasn’t had a chance to discuss it extensively due to her busy schedule, but she’s relieved that post-surgery, she will “retain” her nipples.
Jessie J gained prominence in the early 2010s with her initial single “Do It Like a Dude,” swiftly establishing herself as a pop icon. Her first album, Who You Are, produced chart-toppers like “Price Tag” and “Nobody’s Perfect.” Throughout her career, she has showcased her adaptability, with songs covering various genres and collaborations with renowned artists including Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj.
