Sen. Remi Tinubu Weighs in On Natasha Akpoti vs Akpabio’s Fight.

Senator Remi Tinubu, the spouse of President Bola Tinubu, has contributed her perspective on the debate surrounding Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan’s allegations of sexual harassment against Senate President Godswill Akpabio.

Ahead of International Women’s Day, Senator Tinubu declared that the Senate is a “mature” institution deserving of respect.

She expressed her confidence that the lawmakers are managing the situation properly, stating, “I believe that the Senate is doing what is necessary.”

Senator Tinubu, who has 12 years of experience in the Senate, urged women to take initiative in leadership positions and resist being sidelined.

She encouraged women to stand their ground and assert their power, remarking, “You can always shut them down before they start.”

These remarks come as the Senate is under scrutiny regarding its approach to the allegations, with many advocating for a comprehensive investigation.
