UK considers Moving Ekweremadu’s Case to Nigeria.

UK attorney General Suella Braverman, is having serious thoughts as to whether or not transfer the Case of the Ekweremadu’s back to Nigeria.



Senator Ekweremadu and his wife, Beatrice, were arrested by the Specialist Crime Team of the Metropolitan Police [ UK ] and detained in London for allegedly conspiring to harvest the organ of a minor. The couple appeared before the Uxbridge Magistrate Court in the UK on Thursday over the organ harvesting charges.



According to the prosecutor, David Ukpo– the alleged minor reportedly testified that he was forced to donate his kidney to the Senator’s daughter, is 15-year-old.



Due to the severity and sensitivity of the case, the United Kingdom Attorney General, Suella Braverman, adjourned it to July 7 to determine whether the case will be tried in the country or Nigeria.

It has also been disclosed by the Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, that a delegation would on Friday visit the former Deputy President of the Senate in London. This was dutifully backed with assurance that the Senate would continue to engage with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Nigeria High Commissioner in London on the issue to ensure that the Senator was given all the needed necessary support.
