Walt Ehmer, the president and Chief of Waffle House and a member of the board of trustees for the Atlanta Police Foundation, has passed on at age 58, the establishment declared Sunday.
Ehmer joined Waffle House in 1992 and immediately rose to senior leadership becoming leader of the organization in 2002, and later adding the titles of President and executive, as per data from Georgia Tech College, his place of graduation.
“His initiative, devotion and warmth contacted the existences of many, the two inside the Waffle House family and then some. He abandons a noteworthy heritage,” City chairman Andre Dickens said in a news discharge.
The top managerial staff for Waffle House gave an assertion Sunday early evening time saying Ehmer passed on after a long sickness. “He will be significantly missed by his whole Waffle House family,” the assertion said.
Ehmer was chair of the Georgia Tech Alumni Association Board of Trustees from 2012 to 2013 and served various associations, including the Georgia Tech Establishment Board and the Georgia Tech Advisory Board.
The Waffle House chain of nonstop burger joints opened in 1955 and presently flaunts in excess of 1,900 areas in 25 states.
