Wildlife photographer of the year competition 2021 has began. This is the 57th edition of the competition, and it’s organized by the Natural History Museum in London.
In line with the event. the wildlife photography experts have selected 50,000 entry submission from photographers in 95 countries, and released the images on Tuesday August 31.
According to reports, the experts will make their judgements based on – the creativity, originality and technical excellence of the contestants. The winners of the various categories are to be made known on 12 October, and consequently get featured in an exhibition billed for Oct 15 till June 2022.
The Competition was won by Russian photographer Sergey Gorshkov in 2020 . His photo entry was that of a not so easy to find Siberian tigress hugging an ancient Manchurian fir within the Russian Far East . It allegedly took him Over 11 months to capture the Instant moment with hidden cameras.
